Limited Indoor Church Services

OPTIONS:

Come worship with us at church.  See information below.

The service will be broadcast over the radio from the sanctuary on 107.9 FM.  Please feel free to come and sit in the parking lot and listen.  You can also try (but no guarantee here) to tune into 107.9 if you live close to the church.  I have received varying reports on how far the broadcast travels.

The service will be broadcast live on Facebook at 10:00 a.m. this Sunday from inside the church.  The Facebook live sound and picture will be better this week.

The service will be posted to YouTube, the church website (zioninhumboldt.org), and if you ask, we have DVDs and CDs of the service available that we can send to you.

Limited Indoor Services

This upcoming Sunday (May 31) we will have a service in the Sanctuary.   This comes with a lot of restrictions which are listed below.

God’s Word is most certainly shared electronically, but we really do appreciate the gathering together of God’s people.

  • Please do not attend if you are feeling sick or at risk.  Also, do not feel guilty if you do not attend, because your safety is harder to ensure if the number who attend is over 125.  We also have other options (see below)!
  • Please practice social distancing.
  • We will be directing people into church quickly – we are asking you not to talk in the narthex.
  • Please feel free to bring and to wear your mask.
  • We will not have communion. (we are looking into an individually wrapped option for a future date)
  • The service will be projected on the screen (no need to touch a bulletin if you don’t want to) and it will also be printed fully in the bulletin (if you don’t like the screen – no need to touch a hymnal if you don’t want to).
  • A drop-off offering will be received in the back, bulletins can be picked up there as well.  There will be no passing of the plate.

Zion’s Sunday Service

There will be a drive-in church this Sunday in Zion’s East parking lot.  The service will be held outside on a stage weather permitting.  Please join us around 10:00 a.m. in your cars.  Drive to the church parking lot and tune your radios to 107.9 FM and tune into the service.  It can also be streamed on Zion’s Facebook page.  You can watch in the parking lot on your cell phone with your data plan (please don’t use the church internet because it will overwhelm the system), or at your home.

Zion VBS

Members of Zion:

This past Monday the elders and the council did a Zoom meeting where there was discussion about VBS this summer.  The consensus was, that at the present time, with good conscience it doesn’t seem in the best interest of the community for Zion to have VBS this June.  Blessings to you all as we deal with this time of difficulty and all the challenges around us.

Zion’s Drive-in Church Easter Service

Zion’s Drive-in church is still on for this Sunday, but due to the weather prediction (35 degrees, raining or snowing (3-5 inches), wind 25 or so mph) we are hosting the service in the sanctuary rather than outdoors like we hoped (to protect the equipment from moisture and improve sound quality).  Please still join us this Easter morning at 10:00 a.m. in your cars.  Drive to the church parking lot and tune your radios to 107.9 and tune into the service on the inside.  You are also welcome to tune in on Zion’s Facebook page for the stream…at the parking lot with your Christian neighbors, or at your home as well.
